The Brownstown Police Department is bestowed with the duty of safeguarding all Brownstown citizens from crime and helping citizens when emergencies arise. The Uniformed Patrol Division patrols and responds to all calls for service within the incorporated area of the Township of Brownstown taking appropriate action as necessary. Members of the Uniformed Patrol are responsible for patrolling the township's streets, responding to calls for service, conducting preliminary criminal investigations, responding to emergencies, serving misdemeanor warrants, enforcing traffic laws and investigating accidents. Protecting the citizens of the township is top priority. Officers strive to do this in a respectful manner based on their commitment to excellence, mission, and values and beliefs.
